Beneath the radiant glow of mid-May,
There's a day we celebrate, a special fray,
A day we laud with love and pray,
An ode to mothers, on Mother's Day.
In her eyes, stars twinkle and play,
Her arms, a safe haven where fears allay,
Every scar, every wrinkle a tale does relay,
Of a love so profound, words can't convey.
When she kissed our scraped knees, took pains away,
When she held us close, when we went astray,
Even the words of greatest poets would weigh,
Too light a tribute for Mother's Day.
